From David Clark~
The last time I personally saw my mother (Patsy Delois Clark) was on December 12th 1986. We had driven her to the “GreyHound Bus” terminal in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This is where we (my family and I) lived at the time. It was hard to see mom board the bus to return to her home in Little Rock, Arkansas. Also mom had been involved in a very bad hit and run accident October 31st 1986 there in Fayetteville. She arrived in Fayetteville late that night (unannounced) on a bus, around 11:00/11:30 pm. Instead of calling us for a ride she decided to walk to our home, maybe a mile away. She said “she didn’t won’t to bother anyone at that late hour. While walking to our home she was hit by a drunk driver that fled the scene but was later apprehended and charged. Mom suffered some violent injuries from the accident and stayed with us throughout her doctors care. The doctor released her from his care and she made the decision to return to Little Rock. It was so hard watching her board that bus…..still on crutches still somewhat weak but determined to make it back home! Mom did not have a home phone back then at home so I never really head back from her directly. (3) of my other siblings lived in the Little Rock area and I assumed they would keep watch over her. The next thing I know, I’m getting a call from my sister asking had I seen mom? NO I answered and ask why. She said that our father (moms ex) came to my sister’s home asking had she seen her mother. And that he had not seen her at home for (3 days). This is how the story begins! Mom would be (89 years old) today if she was with us. Because of not having her to go to in times of need, guidance and just her being here as my mother at times I can say it has been very difficult. By her not being here my children have grown up not knowing or even having the normal relationship between grandmother and grandchildren. My grandchildren have missed out on knowing their great grandmother and she has missed out on all of that as well. There have been many years of sad, hurt, angry and confused times during the search for mother. Though she is still Missing the search goes on until we bring her home!
